A list of tools I use to keep my business running smoothly.

Slack 

It’s free, easy to use and great for team collaboration. It’s one of the most popular communication apps out there.

Slack has become one of the most powerful communication tools available to businesses. If you’re trying to grow your company, you need to use it. But if you’re using Slack, you probably don’t know how to optimize it for your team’s productivity.

If you’ve been working with Slack for a while, you might have already come across some of these tools. But there are still a few tricks you haven’t discovered. Let’s take a look at some of the tools and tips you can use to improve your efficiency in Slack.

1. Set Up Custom Alerts

Every day, you’re bound to have a few messages that you need to follow up on immediately. With custom alerts, you can set up an email or text message whenever a certain keyword appears in the Slack channel.

For example, you can set up a notification whenever someone mentions a specific hashtag. This helps ensure you don’t miss any important information.

2. Share Team Information

If you’re new to Slack, you might be wondering why your teammates keep asking you about your vacation plans. To share team information, click on the Team tab and then choose Settings > Teams & Channels > Share Team Information. You can also add specific users to the list of people who can view your personal information.

3. Add a Poll

Sometimes, you want to ask your team a question, but don’t feel like you have time to talk about it in real life. If that’s the case, you can add a poll to Slack. To start, select a topic and then choose the poll icon on the left side of the screen.

4. Create a Direct Message

Slack has a couple of different ways to send a message to a specific user. The easiest way is to click on their username and then choose the message icon on the bottom right corner.

You can also search for a specific user using the search bar. If you don’t know the exact name of the person, try typing their username followed by @. You can also use the search bar to find a specific channel.

5. Create a New Channel

If you have a large number of channels in Slack, you might want to create a new one to organize all of them. To do this, click on the dropdown menu in the top left corner and select Channels.

Then, type the name of the new channel and press Enter. This will automatically create the channel and add all of your existing channels to it.

6. Add Files

Slack has a built-in file sharing tool. To access this, click on the down arrow in the top left corner and choose Files.

From here, you can upload a document or a screenshot. You can also add multiple files to Slack. To do this, click on the plus icon and then select the files you want to upload.

Trello 

I use Trello to keep my tasks organized. It’s a simple app that works really well for teams.

In today’s business world, getting the job done efficiently is essential to staying ahead of the game. This is especially true if you’re working for yourself. In order to stay on top of your business, you’ll need to have a system that works for you.

Trello Man Power Supply

Trello is a cloud-based task management tool. It’s a very intuitive interface that lets you create boards, add tasks, assign people to tasks, and track progress.

It’s not only useful for tracking projects, but it’s also a great tool for organizing daily tasks and making sure that you don’t forget anything important.

I’m actually using it to organize my daily tasks as well as my weekly goals. I can see everything I need to do, and even set reminders so that I don’t forget anything important.

The best part is that I can access my Trello board from anywhere. I can check the status of my tasks from my phone, laptop, or tablet.

This means that I can be doing something else while I wait for an email response or finish up a project.

Trello has a free account that lets you create up to 10 boards. Each board costs $12/month. After that, each additional board is $15/month.

I’ve been using Trello for several months now, and I’ve been extremely happy with the service. The only downside is that it doesn’t come preinstalled on Mac or Windows computers. You have to download it from their website.

My first recommendation would be to download it and give it a try. If you want to get started, I’d suggest downloading the app on your computer and then transferring it to your phone or tablet.

Google Apps

It’s free, easy to set up and comes with all sorts of useful tools. I use Google Drive for storing my content files and Google Calendar for managing my projects.

Google Sheets

This is an easy spreadsheet app that lets me easily build formulas and reports.

Basecamp

A great project management tool that allows me to keep track of everything from a single dashboard.

6. Asana – Another task manager that has a great interface and lots of integrations with other tools.

7. Mailchimp – I use MailChimp to manage my email list. It’s easy to set up and is super affordable.

8. Typeform – For online surveys, Typeform is one of the best.

9. Formspree – Forms for anything.

10. Zapier – Automate your workflow with free web apps.
